Jigme Lingpa (1729-1798) is one of the most famous masters of the Nyingma tradition of Tibet. Also known as “Khyentse Özer” (“Rays of Light of Wisdom and Compassion), he was a great scholar and visionary who taught and practiced the Longchen Nyingthik cycle through several visions of Longchenpa, the great master of the 14th century, in the first place.

With the support of the royal family of Derge, Jigme Lingpa published the “Nyingma Gyübum”, a detailed compilation of all Nyingma Tantras. Another famous text in the Nyingma tradition is “The Treasure of Precious Qualities” (Yönten Rinpoche Dzö), in which all the contents of the Buddhist path, from the four noble truths up to the highest point of view of the Dzogchen, in unique expressiveness and systematics can be explained.

The first nine chapters cover the Hinayana and Mahayana Trail and have been written by Kangyur Rinpoche in the book “Treasury of Precious Qualities”. Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche will start in this course directly with the 10th chapter – the Vajrayana chapter to be explained.

Course structure and participation: This course lasts over three years. When Prerequisite for participation is that the students should either be Ngöndro or a Sadhana practice practice. Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche will give three lectures a day for four days. Rinpoche will make an understanding survey at the beginning of the 3rd course so that we know, if we understood the substance.

The text’ The Treasure of Precious Qualities’ contains 13 chapters. It is not only used for explains how an individual ranging from Hinayana vehicle to Dzogchen but also how to apply the different philosophical perspectives on the subject of are interpreted. We will be studying the tenth chapter of the three-year course,
which explains the mantravehicle.

It deals in detail with the following points: 1) The similarities and differences of Sutra and Tantra; 2) The four different categories of Mantra: Kriya Tantra, Charya Tantra, Yoga Tantra and Mahayoga Tantra and their respective perspectives, meditation and 3) The content of the main practice – the main practice – the empowerments that lead to maturity, the liberation of the leading exercises of the development phase and the completion phase as well as the supporting Samaya.
