Saturday 3. November 2018, 12:00 Uhr – Sunday 11. November 2018, 14:00 Uhr; 8 days

During seven nights the group intensively practices the long Schiwa-Lamsab Chöd practice in four sessions. In the in-between sessions the participants practice the saddhana of Prajnaparamita, the Mother of Wisdom. The participants sleep during the day.

This very old form of retreat is carried out by the Choir-pas (Chöd practitioners) according to the Schiwa Lamsab tradition. The Venerable Lodrö Tulku Rinpoche is present throughout the week and attends some of the meetings.

After a week of intensive practice, Rinpoche gives the retreat group the initiation of the Tröma Nagmo – the wrathful black Dakini, according to Schiwa Lamsab tradition.

Prerequisite for taking the course is the Chöd initiation according to Schiwa Lamsab tradition.

AND WE WILL CELEBRATE RINPOCHE´S BIRTHDAY

VEN. LODRÖ TULKU RINPOCHE

Friday 26. October – Sunday 28. October 2018; 2 days
Rinpoche will teach in german, with english translation

The golden mother Prajanaparamita embodies the entire teaching and wisdom of Buddha. The essence of the perfection of wisdom is an understanding that has directly realized emptiness and connected it with the kind and compassionate bodhicitta. In the second rotation of the wheel, Buddha Shakyamuni taught the teachings of Prajnaparamita and explained the highest Middle Way, the path of profound wisdom.

Entering this great mandala with 59 deities can be taken as a blessing to get a unique connection with this practice. For Chöd practitioners, it is a mass-experience that brings a lot of support in practice – Rinpoche advises us to include the mantra of Prajnaparamita in daily practice.

We hope to be able to offer a visualization and mantra retreat for those interested in the future.

Basically, we all want to be happy; fundamentally, we have the ability to love and be loved unconditionally. We also seek greater intelligence and wisdom, which gives us inner resources to deal with suffering negative thoughts and emotions.

Pioneering scientific research over the last 20 years has shown that the brain can be changed by experience and is thus ready for new experiences and exercises. During this retreat, Tulku Jigme Tinley Rinpoche will guide the students into meditation and other related tools to deal with the challenges of life. To find happiness, to understand and transform our mind.

With a unique blend of Eastern and Western perspectives, Rinpoche teaches the ancient wisdom of Tibet in a fresh, interactive and playful-humorous way.

Tsogle Chod Retreat

For the first time Lodrö Rinpoche explains the Tsogle practice in a chod retreat. The present Lodrö Rinpoche (6th Tulku) will comment on the text of his predecessor Lodrö Jampa Temple, the 3rd Lodrö Tulku from the 19th century. It is a shorter practice version – which, if you practice it takes about 1,5 – 2 hours. (Normally a Tsogle Chöd practice takes about 3-6 hours or longer. The text is based on the text of the 3rd Karmapa Rangdung Dorje.

The Tsogle Chöd practice is mainly practiced at the Kagyüpas, the Nyingmapas, but also at the Gelugpas. It goes back through the 3rd Karmapa Dorje Rangjung from the 13th/14th century, to Machig Labdrön, who lived in the 10th/11th century. The Lodrö line has a close connection with the Tsogle Chöd from the past.

We are very pleased that Lodrö Rinpoche has agreed to translate the text of his predecessor into German/English for us and to comment on it completely to interested choir practitioners.
