More information about Lodrö Rinpoche.

The Ganden Chökhor Dharma Centre is a place where the precious Tibetan Buddhist heritage is preserved and nurtured, taking into account the needs and realities of Western society.

Ganden, or in Sanskrit Tushita, is the happy area of Buddha Maitreya, the Buddha of immeasurable love.

Chökhor is the wheel of the Dharma, the teaching of the Buddha. This Dharmarad is very often seen on the gates of monasteries or their main temples. It is flanked by two resting gazelles, reminiscent of the Buddha’s first teaching speech, in the gazelle grove of Sarnath. These two gentle animals are about to stand up to implement the Dharma teachings of compassion in the world.

In particular, we offer:

Buddhist Theory

Introduction to Buddhist teaching, courses and training, especially to the Chöd and Lam Rim lecture series of various Buddhist teachers.

Buddhist practice and monastic community

Group and individual examinations. Individual accompaniment on the spiritual path. Regular meditation with the house community.

Tibetan Buddhist Culture

Execution and commissioning of rituals. Meeting of Tibetan and Western culture. Events for Tibetans.

Relaxation and holidays

Relaxation and relaxed participation in the program in the house. Opportunities for meditative holidays with family and friends. Rent the wonderful Fin du Siecle dining room for celebrations. Extended weekends and longer stays for external groups.
