The Great Compassionate One: Essential Texts Freeing All Beings

This practice, offered for the first time in Europe, is from Adzom Rinpoche’s Lotus Heart Essence (Pema Nying Thig), which he described as the complete Dzogchen teachings of Avalokiteshvara. He said this after receiving them throughout the fourth day of Sagadawa, 2012. This treasure began to unfold for him as soon as he entered the temple to Kuan Yin on Potu island, long venerated as the abode of Kuan Yin/Avalokiteshvara, off the coast of Shanghai. Lama Rigzin Drolma was present that day and experienced its immense beauty and power.
It is composed of several Dzogchen texts, including a Dzogchen song of the Great Hearted One, a main sadhana ‘Undying Sameness’ liberating all beings, which is our focus this retreat, as well as a section of Avalokiteshvara Activities, and ‘Heart of Gold, Liberation Through Hearing.’
“This is the most elaborate treasure we have yet received from him,” says Lama Rigzin Drolma. “Joining compassion with wisdom can take a long time in most styles of practice. In Dzogchen, wisdom is there from the start.”
