Directions by train
(from Zurich 1 hour 45 minutes)
From Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main station hourly train connections to Chur, from Chur Hauptbahnhof (main station) take the post bus to Churwalden station Funershus. Shortly after the bus stop, a path leads past a farm on the right hand side, first over pastures and then through the forest up the mountain towards Pradaschier and to the centre “Ganden Chökhor” (former Pension Waldhotel). The walking time is approx. 20 minutes (light hiking boots/training shoes are recommended).
Back by train: From the bus stop Churwalden bus stop Kloster, right next to the church, to Chur by post bus. If you would like to be picked up at the bus stop or if you would like to have your luggage brought, please contact us in advance or make a note of it in the registration form.

Motorway Zurich – Chur / exit Lenzerheide, direction Lenzerheide.
At the beginning of the village of Churwalden (vis-a-vis large church) there are about 10 parking spaces on the mountain side. There are further parking spaces on the valley side next to the meat drying plant approx. 100 metres after the church. A small road (on the first 200 meters asphalted, then only a natural road) leads uphill next to the parking lot to the hamlet of Pradaschier and to the centre of Ganden Chökhor (former Pension Waldhotel). Walking time approx. 20 minutes (light hiking boots/track shoes are recommended). The road is narrow and in winter can only be used with good equipment (chains). In Ganden Chökhor there are few parking spaces available. These must be reserved in advance.

Attention: A (daily) driving permit is required for driving up to the center. This is available from us for 10.00 CHF.
The costs for an annual grant amount to CHF 60.00.
